A series of solidarity events have been organized overnight in Jenin in support of Palestinian prisoners who are engaged for three days in an open-ended hunger strike in Israeli jails.
Dozens of Palestinians including prisoners’ families gathered Wednesday evening near the Great Mosque in Jenin and called for increasing support to the prisoners’ hunger strike.
A similar sit-in was organized in Burqin town west of the city amid large participation of local residents.
The leader in Hamas Movement Mustapha Abu Ara’a hailed during the event the prisoners’ heroic steadfastness and strong determination.
