Jewish settlers stormed Kifl Haris in northern Salfit on Sunday night and clashes broke out with the town’s people. One of the settlers was hurt during the confrontation.
Local sources reported that dozens of settlers raided the town under the protection of Israeli occupation forces (IOF). Clashes erupted between citizens and settlers backed by the IOF.
Hebrew media reported that the settler was injured after the town’s youth threw a stone at him.
The town is subjected to frequent incursions by settlers to perform Talmudic rituals in the shrine located there. Kifl Haris is witnessing continuous attacks by settlers including throwing stones on the houses destroying property and chanting racist slogans.
Salfit is exposed to rabid settlement activity aimed at controlling the groundwater resources in the province and its fertile land.
