Settler injured in shooting operation near Nablus

A Jewish settler was reportedly wounded on Sunday morning in a Palestinian shooting operation that targeted his vehicle near Nablus in the north of the occupied West Bank.

Israel’s Channel 7 said that the shooting incident happened in an area between Beit Furik town and Elon Moreh settlement adding that an Israeli driver was injured in his back and his car sustained some damage.

Palestinian resistance fighters also opened fire at an Israeli bus traveling on the same road before withdrawing from the area. The bus sustained damage.

Later the Arin al-Osoud (Lions’ Den) armed group claimed responsibility for the double shooting operation that targeted a car and a bus belonging to settlers near Elon Moreh settlement.

Immediately following the shooting incident the Israeli occupation forces closed the Huwara and Beit Furik checkpoints in southern Nablus spread in the area and launched a manhunt for the shooters.

In a separate incident resistance fighters opened fire at an Israeli military post on Mount Gerizim in Nablus.
