A horde of extremist Jewish settlers assaulted on Wednesday morning a Palestinian family and attacked Palestinian vehicles in Sebastia town northwest of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
Sebastia mayor Mohamed Azem said that a group of settlers attacked the house of Ahmed Ghazal in the town and wounded some members of his family.
Azem added that the Israeli occupation forces reclosed the Shavei Shomron road barrier near the town and allowed settlers to throw rocks at Palestinian cars traveling on the road.
There was no information about damaged cars in the settler attack.
Since mid-December the Israeli army has repeatedly closed the Shavei Shomron barrier which is considered a main artery for the Palestinians traveling between Nablus and Jenin.
