A horde of Jewish settlers assaulted on Tuesday morning several Palestinian farmers and shepherds in Khirbet Qawawis hamlet in Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil.
According to local sources club-wielding settlers from Mitzpe Yair outpost and Susya settlement in eastern Yatta terrorized farmers and shepherds and verbally attacked them during their presence on their own lands near the hamlet.
The settlers also brought their cattle and let them wreak havoc on wheat and barley fields and olive saplings belonging to local farmers.
In this regard local official Rateb al-Jabour said the extremist settlers in the occupied West Bank commit and escalate their violations in Palestinian areas in southern al-Khalil under military protection.
He accused them of exchanging roles with the Israeli occupation forces who provide them with full protection and commit different violations on their behalf.
