A horde of extremist Jewish settlers on Tuesday assaulted Palestinian shepherds in eastern Yatta south of al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank.
Local official Rateb al-Jabour said that a gang of settlers escorted by soldiers and police officers brutalized local shepherds in Thaalah area to the east of Yatta and prevented them from grazing their cattle in their pasture area at the pretext they were state lands.
Jabour added that the shepherds defended themselves and stood up for their right to graze their animals in the area.
Later Israeli soldiers arrested one of the shepherds as he was with his cattle in the area after settlers accused him of physically assaulting them.
