Jewish settlers attacked on Saturday Palestinian citizens in the villages of Tawana and Al-Mafqara in Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil.
Fuad Al-Amour the coordinator of the Protection and Steadfastness Committee in the south of al-Khalil said that settlers of Havat Ma’on settlement assaulted citizens’ homes in the two villages and threw stones at them. Several civilians were wounded.
Amour added that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) provided protection for settlers and fired sound bombs and tear gas canisters at the citizens leading to breathing problems among many of them.
Settlers also attacked Palestinian farmers with sticks and stones and opened fire at them in Masafer Yatta under IOF protection.
The residents in the villages of Al-Mufaqra and Tawana are facing extremely difficult conditions due to the continuous attacks of the IOF soldiers and settlers.
