Palestinian citizens were reportedly attacked on Saturday by extremist Jewish settlers and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in al-Khalil City.
According to local sources in al-Khalil settlers from the illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba assaulted citizens in Jabber neighborhood prompting the latter to try to defend themselves and homes.
Later Israeli soldiers intervened and showered the local residents with tear gas to secure the settlers’ withdrawal from the area.
The IOF also detained and interrogated 17-year-old Ameer Jabber after raiding his home in Jabber neighborhood.
In a separate incident the IOF forced a Palestinian child to take off his shirt after intercepting the car he was aboard at the entrance of Beit Fajjar town in Bethlehem at the pretext that there was a weapon image printed on it. A Palestinian flag was also confiscated from the same car.
In Nablus the IOF stormed on Saturday the archeological area in Sebastia village in northern Nablus for the third consecutive time within 24 hours as part of ongoing Israeli efforts to seize the area and claim it as a Jewish heritage site.
Media sources said that the IOF showered Palestinian homes with tear gas near the historical site in Sebastia during clashes with local youths.
In Qalqilya the IOF quelled the weekly anti-settlement march of Kafr Qaddum village and clashed with local youths.
