A horde of extremist Jewish settlers attacked on Sunday the house of Palestinian human rights activist Aref Jaber while the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) forced a citizen to close his commercial store in the central district of al-Khalil City.
Activist Jaber told SAFA news agency that a group of settlers hurled stones at his home’s windows under military protection adding that the IOF justified the settler attack by claiming that the settlers were reacting after members of his family had thrown stones at them.
He said that there were growing concerns among the Palestinian families in al-Khalil City about the occurrence of more settler attacks on their homes and property adding that the situation had been tense since yesterday when scores of settlers stormed the city and went on the rampage through its streets.
On Saturday evening the Israeli occupation army closed all the Palestinian businesses and stores in different areas of al-Khalil City especially around the Ibrahimi Mosque and in the Old City and allowed thousands of settlers to storm its streets and launch attacks on local residents and their property.
