Jewish settlers cut down dozens of olive trees in Walaja village northwest of Bethlehem on Sunday.
Ibrahim Awadallah an activist said that the village resident Fawzi Khalifa was surprised when he entered his land and saw that 70 olive trees were cut down with a saw. The trees are over ten years old and are located in the Aruq Zunaid area south of the village he added.
He said that the village has been under attack by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers for a while adding that the attacks include the demolition of houses and stop work orders against new constructions in addition to bulldozing lands and uprooting trees.
