Settlers cut down olive trees assault farmer in Nablus villages

Israeli settlers cut down on Tuesday dozens of olive trees and assaulted a farmer in Nablus-area villages according to a Palestinian official.

Ghassan Daghlas a Palestinian official who monitors settlement activity in the northern West Bank told the PIC reporter that the settlers chopped down 12 olive trees owned by Ahmad Jaber.

Dozens of trees were uprooted in the western Kerem area near the illegal Elon settlement he added.

The settlers also uprooted olive trees in Deir al- Hatab town to the north of Nablus.

Meanwhile settlers from the illegal Yitzhar settlement attacked Mohammad Najjar with stones while ploughing his land in Burin town south of Nablus causing damage to his tractor.

Najjar also sustained different injuries and bruises.
