Hundreds of Jewish settlers on Friday morning stormed the summit of Mount Sobeih south of Nablus and gathered at the outpost that was established on the Palestinian lands.
The extremists Shmuel Eliyahu and Yossi Dagan head of the settlement council in the northern West Bank participated in the raid during which the settlers performed Talmudic rituals and reveled in the area.
This intrusion comes despite the Israeli occupation authority’s claim that it issued a decision to remove the settlement outpost from Mount Sobeih and prevent settlers from accessing it.
Meanwhile Palestinian citizens are preparing to perform Friday prayer on the mount protesting against the settlers’ incursion.
The area witnessed recently several clashes between the residents on the one hand and the Israeli occupation forces and the settlers on the other hand.
