A horde of extremist Jewish settlers on Sunday started to set up a new outpost in al-Ma’rajat area northwest of Jericho.
Local activist Fares Kaabneh said that settlers from the extremist “Hill Youth” group started to establish an outpost with a number of tents with the aim of controlling a vast area of pastoral land.
Kaabneh added that the settlers fenced the new outpost and brought sheep and water tanks expressing his concern that the settlers would use their outpost as another hotbed for their attacks against local shepherds and farmers.
He pointed out that the Hill Youth settlers had already set up several outposts in the east of Ramallah and Bireh province.
