Israeli settlers early Friday spray-painted anti-Palestinian graffiti on walls in Nabi Saleh village northwest of Ramallah.
Anti-settlement activist Mohammad Tamimi said that settlers driving a vehicle stormed the village late night and spray-painted graffiti calling on the Tamimi family to leave their hometown. Other graffiti entailed threats against the villagers.
Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. It includes property and mosque arsons stone-throwing uprooting of crops and olive trees attacks on vulnerable homes among others.
Nearly 700000 Israelis live in illegal settlements across the occupied West Bank in violation of international law.
