Jewish settler organizations on Sunday called for massive marches in the Occupied West Bank on Monday to demand the new Israeli government to control Area C which constitutes more than 60% of the area of the West Bank.
The Hebrew Channel 7 reported that the settlers plan to launch 14 marches from the north of the West Bank to its south with the support of the settlers’ councils and under the protection of the Israeli forces.
It explained that the settlers want the Bennett government to boost the fight against the Palestinian construction in Area C “before it is too late.”
For his part the head of the Arab List in the Knesset submitted an appeal to the Minister of Internal Security Omer Bar-Lev calling on him to intervene in order to ban the demonstrations so as to prevent the possible bloodshed of Palestinians.
