A group of Jewish settlers torched on Thursday evening a Palestinian citizen’s truck in the eastern village of Al-Mazra’a in a quarry built on Kafr Malik lands east of Ramallah.
Eyad Abu Sheikha the owner of the truck said that settlers on motorcycles attacked his quarry near Ain Samia and set the truck on fire in the absence of workers.
Abu Sheikha values his loss at 120000 shekels adding that the settler organizations sent him threat letters on the social media to force him to leave and evacuate the quarry.
Kafr Malik village has recently witnessed many attacks by settlers under the Israeli occupation forces’ protection.
Earlier last December settlers armed with guns and police dogs attacked a peaceful march condemning the establishment of a settlement outpost on the lands of Ras Al-Tin in Kafr Malik.
Kafr Malik is routinely subjected to attacks by settlers especially on trees as hundreds of trees were cut down in the area and the farmers were prevented from accessing their lands due to the settlers’ threats against them.
