The Palestinian health ministry on Sunday reported seven new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 976 new positive tests and 585 recoveries in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report five of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank and two from the Gaza Strip.
39 critically ill COVID-19 patients are reportedly receiving intensive care in hospitals and 10 of them have been placed on ventilators.
87.5 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 11.6 percent and the rate of deaths is 0.9 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
