The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Saturday that 7 deaths 290 new infections with coronavirus and 521 recoveries were recorded after conducting 3177 examinations during the past 24 hours.
Mai Al-Kailah the Minister of Health stated in a press release that the new COVID-19 victims were identified as a male citizen from Al-Taibeh a female citizen from Al-Amari camp another female citizen from Ramallah and Al-Bireh a man from Al-Samu in al-Khali another male citizen from Beit Furik in Nablus and two deaths in Gaza.
She added that the new infections were distributed as follows: al-Khalil (14) Nablus (46) Bethlehem (50) Qalqilya (8) Ramallah and Al-Bireh (16) Jenin (19) Salfit (25) Jericho and Al-Aghwar. (6) Tulkarem (30) Tubas (5) Gaza Strip (67) and the suburbs of Jerusalem (4).
The new cases of recovery were recorded in: al-Khalil (137) Jenin (34) Bethlehem (214) Salfit (16) and the Gaza Strip (120).
The recovery rate of coronavirus reached 74.6 percent while the rate of active infections reached 24.7 percent and the death rate was 0.7% of all infections.
Kailah indicated that there are 42 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 11 who have been placed on ventilators.
