The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched at dawn Wednesday a large-scale raid and arrest campaign in separate areas in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
In Bethlehem the ex-prisoner Shurooq Muhammad Musa Al-Badan 28 was detained after Israeli forces violently stormed and searched her family’s home in the town of Taqou’.
Shurooq a mother of two was released from Israeli prisons nearly six months ago after spending eight months in administrative detention.
Four teenagers aged between 17 and 19 were rounded up in Beit Fajjar town. Three more arrests were carried out in the nearby town of Beit Sahour.
In Ramallah Israeli forces stormed Al-Bireh city and arrested at least one Palestinian from Al-Amari refugee camp. Similar raids were carried out in Birzeit and Deir Nidham towns.
In Nablus Israel troops stormed Beita town where several homes were searched. Two young men were detained during the raid. Two more arrests were reported in Beit Dajan town.
In Occupied Jerusalem five Palestinians including a 15-year-old boy were arrested in Issawiya town. Another young man was summoned for investigation.
The Israeli army often carries out detention raids against Palestinians in the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem claiming to arrest wanted Palestinians.
Israel currently holds 4650 Palestinians including 34 women 160 children and 500 administrative detainees in its jails.
