The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Tuesday kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens during campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to local sources in the West Bank the IOF at the Beit Furik checkpoint kidnaped two young men identified as Qusay Shahada and Mohamed Bahnajawi both residents of Balata refugee camp near Nablus city.
The IOF also stormed Awarta village in southern Nablus and kidnaped a university student called Musaab Awwad after ransacking his home.
In Tulkarem the IOF kidnaped seven citizens during raids on homes in the main city and Anabta town. Clashes reportedly took place in Anabta between local youths and Israeli soldiers.
Other five citizens were taken prisoners during an IOF campaign in Beit Rima town northwest of Ramallah.
A teacher called Mousa Zahran was also kidnaped from his home in Deir Abu Masha’al town west of Ramallah.
In Qalqilya the IOF kidnaped three young men from their homes in the city.
The IOF also stormed al-Fawwar refugee camp in southern al-Khalil and raided several homes with no reported arrests.
Meanwhile the IOF set up makeshift checkpoints and intercepted Palestinian vehicles on roads leading to al-Khalil city and the towns of Sa’ir and Halhul.
In Jerusalem one teenager identified as Jihad Hashim was kidnaped by plain-clothes police officers from Al Obeid neighborhood in Issawiya district.
The IOF also stormed Shu’afat refugee camp in east Jerusalem but there was no report of arrests.
