Several Palestinians kidnapped in IOF campaigns in W. Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out overnight raids on homes and kidnapped several Palestinian citizens in different West Bank areas.

Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that a large number of Israeli troops at dawn Wednesday stormed Jenin refugee camp north of the West Bank spread on its streets and kidnapped four Palestinians. One of those detainees was released later.

The sources added that several soldiers were deployed on the Jenin-Haifa road where they engaged in sporadic clashes with local young men.

In Tulkarem the IOF raided a house twice during their presence in Dunaba suburb and kidnapped a young man.

An Israeli military force also stormed Qaffin town near Tulkarem city broke into and ransacked the house of prisoner Fathi al-Khasib and rounded up his son Mus’ab.

Another young man identified as Baker Tawfiq was also taken prisoner during an IOF campaign in Kafr Abbush south of Tulkarem.

In Nablus six young men were kidnapped from their homes during violent IOF raids in Nablus city and Tell town.

In al-Khalil the IOF stormed Halhul town to the north at dawn and kidnapped four citizens after ransacking their homes.

Israeli soldiers also reportedly raided the house of a young man called Jebril Marrar in the Old City of al-Khalil without arresting him.

Meanwhile the IOF stormed the headquarters of al-Khalil construction committee near the Ibrahimi Mosque caused havoc to its furniture and confiscated documents and maps.

In Bethlehem a military force kidnapped a Palestinian youth and clashed with others during a campaign in Beit Fajjar town.

Clashes also took place between youths and Israeli soldiers during IOF campaigns in Birzeit town north of Ramallah and in Jenin refugee camp according to local sources.

In a separate incident an explosive device was detonated at an Israeli military post at dawn in an area near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of al-Khalil.

A manhunt for the attacker was launched in nearby neighborhoods. No arrests have been reported yet.
