Head of Prisoners Information Center Abdul Rahman Shadid said Thursday that reimposing the old jail sentence against the Palestinian prisoner Nael Barghouthi is a political decision par excellence.
The Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to re-impose Barghouthi’s previous prison sentence came as part of the Israeli pressures to push for the release of its soldiers captured by Palestinian resistance in Gaza Strip he said.
Such a decision will never undermine Barghouthi’s strong determination and high spirits Shadid added.
The rights activist pointed out that the verdict will not affect the conditions set by Palestinian resistance for a new prisoners swap deal.
