CAIRO (PIC)– Ramadan Abdullah Shallah secretary general of the Islamic Jihad Movement has called on PA chief Mahmoud Abbas to accept dialog with Hamas in order to find a way out of the current crisis.
Shallah who is currently in Cairo reminded Abbas that he accepted to meet and confer with Olmert whose army commits atrocities every day against Palestinian people.
He expressed his rejection of Abbas’s intention to ban the armed wings of the Palestinian factions saying: “When Abbas liberates the West Bank Gaza Jerusalem and Palestine we will agree with him on everything he bans.”
The Jihad leader finally advised Hamas to return fully to the trench of resistance and to confine its activities within this framework “If Hamas could not reach agreement anew with Fatah over a joint PA program of action”.
The Islamic Jihad seeks a solution to the current crisis in the Palestinian arena in coordination with Egypt despite the difficulty of such a solution at present Shallah concluded.
