DAMASCUS (PIC)– Dr. Abdullah Shallah the secretary-general of the Islamic Jihad Movement strongly denounced PA chief Mahmoud Abbas for his impulsive run towards negotiations with the Israeli occupation while its troops continue to commit massacres against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
“It is sad to see the PA chief getting prepared to go to the autumn conference and holds meetings with the Israelis all the time because these meetings and the preparations to go to the conference are done on the drums of the Israeli aggressions carnage incursions and kidnappings” Dr. Shallah opined in an exclusive statement to the PIC.
In rhetorical questions to Abbas and his entourage the Islamic Jihad leader asked: “Is this not the blood of the Palestinian people on the streets? On behalf of whom they are talking if they do not represent this blood that was shed ?”
The Islamic Jihad leader expressed his surprise at the PA chief’s refusal of any voice of opposition to the autumn conference and the negotiations with the Israeli occupation confirming that the Palestinian people are against the negotiations as a way for restoring usurped rights.
Shallah stressed the need to work on bridging the rift in the Palestinian arena and rearranging the internal house in order to ensure the protection of Palestinian national project and ensure the continuation of the resistance.
