Mohammad Shehab a member of the Palestinian legislative council on Sunday held the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) fully responsible for the life of the prisoner Ahmed Obaid.
Obaid has been detained since 2017 in the occupation prisons. His health condition deteriorated after he was diagnosed with intestinal cancer.
Shehab said that the IOA bears full responsibility for the life of Obaid as a result of its policy of medical negligence.
He called on all national and Islamic factions and forces to assume their responsibility towards the Palestinian prisoners.
Shehab also called on all human rights and humanitarian institutions to save the lives of sick prisoners and to demand their immediate release so that they can receive proper treatment.
The IOA is holding about 4400 Palestinians in its prisons including 40 women 170 children and 380 administrative detainees according to official Palestinian statistics.
