Sheikh Raed Salah’s isolation extended

Tuesday 22-November-2016

The Israeli Central Court in Beersheba refused on Tuesday an appeal submitted by Sheikh Raed Salah’s lawyer to end his isolation in Ramon prison.

Masra Media Center quoted the lawyer Omar Khamaisi as saying that Israeli prosecutor insisted on extending Sheikh Salah’s isolation till the end of his sentence under the pretext of “posing a threat as he could influence the other prisoners.”

Therefore the court decided to extend his isolation till the end of his sentence on February 8 2017.

Earlier Tuesday dozens of Palestinians gathered outside Eshel prison in Beersheba in protest against the court’s ruling.

Head of the Freedoms Committee Sheikh Kamal al-Khatib and a number of Palestinian leaders within the Green Line participated in the protest.
