Sheikh Ekrima Sabri head of the Higher Islamic Council in Jerusalem has warned of a conspiracy targeting the Aqsa Mosque accusing the Israeli occupation state of exploiting the current Arab impotence and connivance to carry out its plots at the Islamic holy site.
In press remarks on Sunday Sheikh Sabri added that “the occupation state is carrying out its plots silently at the Aqsa Mosque in the midst of the Muslim nation’s preoccupation with other issues.”
He called on the Palestinian citizens frequenting the Aqsa Mosque to be alert to any malicious Israeli activities taking place at their Mosque and be ready to take action.
Recently Jerusalemite activists and institutions have raised the alarm about suspicious Israeli diggings threatening the foundations of the Aqsa Mosque and pointed to the occurrence of new fissures in the western area of the holy site.
