Head of the Islamic Movement within the Green Line Sheikh Raed Salah warned that al-Aqsa Mosque is in real danger saying that the current period is very critical.
After visiting Sheikh Salah in Raymond prison his lawyer quoted him as calling on the Palestinian people and the Arab and Islamic nations to defend their right to al-Aqsa Mosque as an eternal and constant right.
He said that UNESCO’s recent resolution on Jerusalem came to support this Palestinian eternal right.
Israel’s rejection of UNESCO’s decision is a declaration of war against the Palestinian people and Arab and Islamic nations he said.
Sheikh Salah also warned of Israeli ongoing attempts to fabricate reality.
On the other hand Sheikh Salah said that Israeli war crimes did not stop while referring to the anniversary of Kafer Qassam massacre.
Israeli violations would only stop by the end of occupation he stressed.
He also warned of the Israeli Judaization schemes which aim at taking control over al-Aqsa Mosque.
Last October 2015 an Israeli district court sentenced Sheikh Salah to eleven months in jail for “inciting violence” over remarks he made about ten years ago.
