Armed gunmen opened fire at Hawara checkpoint at the entrance to Nablus late on Wednesday while clashes erupted in Husan town in Bethlehem.
Local sources reported that the gunmen opened fire at Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stationed at Hawara checkpoint before fleeing the scene.
Meanwhile violent clashes erupted in Husan town after being violently stormed by IOF amid heavy firing of tear-gas bombs at civilian homes.
Several youths responded by throwing stones and empty bottles at the IOF military vehicles.
