Hamas chief in Gaza Yahya al-Sinwar has affirmed that his Movement is working diligently on keeping the Gaza Strip free of coronavirus and has managed so far to achieve this goal.
In an interactive interview conducted with him by al-Aqsa satellite channel last Thursday Sinwar said the competent ministries spearheaded by the health ministry and the interior ministry had launched an all-out emergency plan to confront coronavirus.
The Hamas official urged all citizens in Gaza to abide to the best of their ability by health guidelines to reduce their outdoor movements and activities and avoid gatherings.
“Given global expectations that this crisis will continue for a long time we are currently preparing a place consisting of rooms with each one accommodating one or two people and we will hand it over to the health ministry within a few days” the Hamas official said.
He appealed to donors to provide Gaza with ventilators and medical and health supplies needed during the coronavirus crisis asserting that the Palestinian resistance is able to force the Israeli occupation state to allow in the things Gaza needs.
