Dozens of Palestinians on Friday afternoon participated in a sit-in staged by the families of Jerusalem Intifada’s martyrs in Doura town in al-Khalil. The event aimed at supporting the Palestinian journalist and hunger-striking prisoner Mohammad al-Qiq and demanding the return of the rest of martyrs’ bodies who are still detained at Israeli morgues.
The mother of martyr Abdulhamid Abu Srour said in the sit-in that captive al-Qiq was arrested for his activities for the return of martyrs’ bodies. She stressed that the families of martyrs are determined to continue holding more events until they get back the bodies of their sons.
The wife of detainee al-Qiq highlighted that her husband has been on hunger strike for five days in a row in defense of prisoners’ human rights.
