Dozens of Palestinian citizens and activists in Nablus city participated on Monday in a solidarity rally with prisoners in Israeli jails.
The protesters were holding banners as well as pictures for prisoners especially the ones who are on hunger strike while demanding stronger solidarity with their cause.
The protesters also urged human rights organizations and the Palestinian Authority to prioritize the issue of Palestinian prisoners and protect them against the Israeli repressive measures and violations.
Muzaffar Thuqan representative of the factional coordination committee confirmed that the assaults against prisoners in Nafha and Negev prisons and punishing them in solitary confinement are considered serious escalation.
Thuqan held the Israeli prison service responsible for the escalation due to its repressive measures.
