Women Council at Fatah Movement on Monday staged a sit-in before the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza city in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
The event aimed at protesting Israeli punishment measures being practiced against Palestinian detainees.
The protesters hailed the captives as well as their families and praised their steadfastness despite Israeli suppression harrasments and tightened security measures.
The participants also expressed their refusal of halting the Palestinian Authority’s financial allocations for prisoners. They called on local and international human rights organizations to put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian detainees and to support them until they are free.
