Israeli police forces declared on Sunday evening a state of alert following an alleged stabbing attempt in the Bab Al-Amoud area in Occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli police claimed that two settlers were subjected to a stabbing attempt. However no injuries were reported.
Two Palestinian young men were detained following the claim amid heavy deployment of Israeli troops throughout the area. Several other youths were also stopped and searched.
On Friday Jewish settlers intensified their attacks throughout the occupied West Bank after the killing of a settler and the injury of two others in a shooting operation in northern Nablus on Thursday night.
Since the incident they have been trying to launch more attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property with the help of the Israeli occupation army.
