A state of tension has prevailed at dawn Monday in al-Aqsa Mosque as Israeli police tried to forcibly erect a mobile room in the compound.
Earlier Sunday Palestinian worshipers managed to prevent two similar attempts by Israeli forces.
Media coordinator of the Islamic Endowment Department in occupied Jerusalem Firas Dubas affirmed that Israeli police tried on Sunday afternoon and evening to erect the mobile room and threatened the mosque’s guards for standing firmly against their provocative attempts.
Meanwhile Israeli settlers continued to break into the Mosque amid heavy protection of Israeli police in total provocation to Palestinian worshipers.
