A general strike has been declared and rallies staged throughout Tulkarem province on Thursday in response to the assassination of the Palestinian anti-occupation attackers Ashraf Na’luwa and Saleh Barghouti by the Israeli military.
Hundreds of Palestinians took down to the streets and marched across Tulkarem alleyways condemning Israel’s brutal murder of the two young men.
The protesters called for retaliation by the Palestinian resistance and strongly denounced the silence maintained by the international community as regards the Israeli crimes against the Palestinians.
29-year-old Saleh Omar Barghouti from Kobar village in the occupation West Bank was shot injured and arrested by the Israeli military on Wednesday evening before he was pronounced dead shortly after.
The Israeli occupation forces assassinated Ashraf Na’luwa at dawn Thursday following a military operation in Askar refugee camp in Nablus city.
