Sudanese ambassador to Qatar Fathu-Rahman Ali has reiterated his country’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause affirming that Khartoum “is making efforts to confront the intended African-Israeli summit.”
Ali made his remarks during his meeting with a delegation from the Popular Conference for the Palestinians Abroad in Qatar.
“Sudan’s supportive position towards the Palestinian people’s rights is unwavering and unchanged” the ambassador said stressing that “Palestine is in the heart of every Sudanese.”
He expressed his country’s concern over African countries’ intention to hold a summit with Israel in Togo affirming that diplomatic efforts were already launched to dissuade them from taking such a step.
For its part the delegation handed the ambassador a file about the intended summit and its dimensions.
The file also included suggested means to confront the meeting as well as information on the diplomatic and popular efforts taking place in the Arab and Islamic worlds and the African continent to confront it.
