Monday 9-January-2017

Sweets and cakes have been handed out to commuters in Gaza and Lebanon in praise of Sunday’s anti-occupation attack by 28-year-old Fadi al-Kunbur which killed four Israeli soldiers.

Shopkeepers and children distributed sweets in Gaza streets in celebration of the anti-occupation truck-ramming operation.

The commuters expressed hope that the attack carried out in the start of 2017 would herald a breakthrough in the Palestinian national liberation struggle.

Palestinian refugees in Lebanon also handed out sweets in praise of the anti-occupation attack.

“Allahu Akbar” (Allah is the Greatest) was chanted via mosque loudspeakers to laud the operation.

Candies were distributed across the streets and neighborhoods of Ein al-Hilweh camp among other shelters housing Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.

The refugees lifted the Palestinian flag and chanted slogans calling for armed resistance against the Israeli occupation.

Residents of al-Jaleel camp in the northern area of al-Bekaa Valley in central Lebanon also took to the streets despite the sub-zero temperatures rocking the region.

Four Israeli soldiers were killed and 15 others wounded on Sunday evening following an anti-occupation truck-ramming attack carried out by 28-year-old Palestinian protester Fadi al-Kunbur.

Palestinian factions lauded the operation dubbing it a natural response to Israel’s simmering terrorism across the occupied Palestinian territories.
