Syndicate sit-in in Gaza against the siege

Wednesday 19-April-2017

Palestinian syndicates assembly organized on Wednesday a massive protest sit-in before the office of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Gaza against the siege.

Hundreds of Palestinian unionists who participated in the sit-in expressed their refusal of the closure of border crossings and banning the entry of raw materials into the besieged coastal enclave as well as the power crisis.

The spokeswoman of the syndicate assembly Muna Skeik asked the UN and international community to quickly take action in order to lift the Gaza siege.

She affirmed that thousands of cancer and kidney failure patients need to be treated urgently. They demand opening the Rafah border crossing for the entry of medications and allowing ill people to travel for treatment.
