Member of Hamas’s political bureau Jihad Taha has condemned the Lebanese authorities for issuing demolition orders against homes of 50 Palestinian refugee families in al-Qasimiyah community north of Tyre city.
In remarks to al-Aqsa satellite channel Taha said the measure would be another forced displacement operation against the Palestinian people and would contribute to undermining the issue of the Palestinian refugees and their right to return to Palestine.
He called for necessarily addressing any issue related to the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon through responsible talks between the government and leaders of the Palestinian factions.
The Hamas official described the good relations between the Palestinian and Lebanese people as “ties of partnership cooperation culture and a common future aimed at achieving their aspirations and helping them face all challenges.”
