Takruri: We seek to mobilize Muslim scholars to support Palestine

The Palestinian Scholars Association in the Diaspora is preparing for holding its third annual conference in Istanbul in the period 2 – 4 February which aims to gather Palestinian scholars abroad under one umbrella that serves the Palestinian cause.

The Secretary General of the association Dr. Nawwaf Takruri said that the association seeks to mobilize energies of scholars to support Palestine and deliberate its issues in a scientific manner and confirm the Islamic identity of the Palestinian land.

Takruri pointed out that the association endeavors to activate the role of the Muslim nation’s scholars toward the Palestinian cause and back the Palestinian people who are suffering from the Israeli occupation and in the diaspora.

He added that the conference aims to enhance the spirit of Jihad and resistance among the Palestinian people and expose the Israeli and other colonial projects in the region in general and in Palestine in particular and means of confronting them.

He called for boosting efforts aimed at protecting Jerusalem and other holy sites and endowments in Palestine in face of the Israeli Judaization projects and qualifying a number of Palestinian youths scientifically and religiously to counter the Israeli lies.

For his part Dr. Hafez al-Karmi media official at the Palestinian Scholars Association said that they are working to maintain the Palestinian cause’s presence among scholars around the world.
