Tamimi calls on Palestinian masses to flock to the Aqsa on Friday

Thursday 22-February-2007

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– The Palestine chief judge Sheikh Tayseer Al-Tamimi on Thursday called on the Palestinian masses to flock tomorrow Friday to the holy Aqsa Mosque to defend it in face of Zionist dangers.

Tamimi in a statement said that it was a religious duty on Palestinian Muslims to flock to and defend the Aqsa Mosque in the light of the dangers engulfing it as a result of the Zionist demolition works at its western wall.

He appealed to the Arab and Muslim rulers and ruled and public and official institutions to swiftly act in support of the Aqsa and to display their anger and protest in marches and rallies in all Arab and Islamic cities against the Israeli occupation’s crime against the Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem.

Tamimi warned of surrendering to the de facto situation and of being deceived by Israeli leaders’ allegations. He explained that the truth is that the IOA is going ahead in its scheme of demolishing the Aqsa and judaizing Jerusalem after isolating it from the West Bank.

He further charged the IOA with forcing migration of Jerusalem’s indigenous Palestinian inhabitants wiping out its landmarks distorting its cultural identity and blocking the Palestinians from accessing the holy city to pray in its Islamic and Christian shrines.

The chief judge called on the world community and its UN organization to seriously pressure the Israeli occupation government in order to end its “systematic campaign of terror against the Palestinian people and its holy shrines and to halt its measures at and desecration of the Aqsa Mosque.
