AL-KHALIL (PIC)– Sheikh Tayseer Al-Tamimi the chief Islamic justice in Palestine has called on the UN and the Quartet committee to provide immediate protection for the Palestinian people in face of the growing Israeli state terrorism.
Tamimi said that the world community should adopt a serious and decisive stand to check the Israeli occupation authority’s systematic terror against the Palestinian people noting that the IOA despite such atrocities was enjoying an unlimited American support.
In a press release the Sheikh expressed deep sorrow over the casual position of the human rights organizations and the world community vis-à-vis the Israeli violations of the Palestinian civilians’ human rights.
Tamimi who is also head of the higher council for Islamic courts in Palestine was commenting on the Israeli army’s step of awarding a medal of honor to an IOF serviceman for killing four Palestinians.
He charged that the IOF command was thus openly encouraging its soldiers to kill more Palestinians. However he said that it was not a strange step on the part of the IOF that committed numerous massacres in lines of the Palestinian people ever since the usurpation of Palestine at the hands of armed Zionist gangs back in 1948.
