Algerian president Abdul-Majid Tebboune said his country would invite all the Palestinian factions to participate in a meeting for the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to be held in early November.
“We are with Palestine and with the Palestine Liberation Organization as the sole representative of the Palestinian people. All the Palestinian factions including Hamas have great confidence in Algeria” Tebboune said in a televised interview with him on Sunday.
The president pointed out that his country started to arrange meetings between different Palestinian leaders to serve the Palestinian interests affirming that such meetings would continue to take place in order to heal the rift in the Palestinian arena.
He stressed that Algeria has no bias towards any Palestinian party so its leadership enjoys great credibility to sponsor inter-Palestinian meetings.
He revealed that Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas had accepted an Algerian proposal for hosting a comprehensive conference soon in the country in the presence of delegations from the Palestinian factions.
