Tens of thousands of Palestinians were able to attend the Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem amid tight Israeli restrictions.
Local sources affirmed that tens of thousands of Palestinian worshipers flocked to the holy site from West Bank Jerusalem and Arab towns within the Green Line amid strict Israeli security measures.
The Israeli police forces also set up dozens of roadblocks conducted extensive searches and checks on Palestinians and their ID cards and prevented many of them from reaching the holy Islamic site.
Earlier in the morning thousands performed dawn prayer at the holy site despite Israeli restrictions.
Since the early hours of dawn thousands of Palestinians gathered at the gates of Al-Aqsa to pray confirming the Palestinians’ spiritual links to the holy site.
