GAZA (PIC) Israeli warplanes bombed on Sunday afternoon a building in the Shejaeyya neighborhood in the eastern part of Gaza City killing eight people and wounding a number of others.
The targeted building is a function hall belonging to al-Hayya family and lies next to the home of prominent Hamas political leader and member of PLC Dr. Khalil al-Hayya.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli warplanes fired at least one rocket at the hall where a number of people had gathered killing eight people seven of them are members of al-Hayya family and the eighth was not identified at the time of writing this report.
Dr. Khalil al-Hayya who was obviously the target to this aggression was not present at the hall at the time.
This air strike seems to be an implementation of the Israeli government decision to target the Hamas political leadership if the firing of homemade rockets from Gaza persisted.
