Monday 4-June-2012

AL-KHALIL (PIC)– The Jordanian authorities prevented ex-prisoner Nizar al-Tamimi liberated under “Wafa-Ahrar” deal from entering the Kingdom to celebrate his wedding with liberated Jordanian captive Ahlam al-Tamimi Palestinian sources reported.

The news website “Qudsweb” stated that after seven months Nizar finally obtained IOA’s permission to travel to Amman capital of Jordan. However the Jordanian authorities prevented him from entering the Kingdom and from King Hussein’s bridge border crossing. According to some information al-Tamimi was attacked before being forced to return to the Israeli side of the bridge revealed Qudsweb.

Liberated captive Ahlam confirmed that her husband Nizar obtained the Zionist occupation’s authorization allowing him to leave the occupied Palestinian territories to Jordan under the deal between the hunger striking prisoners and the IOA.

She also noted that the Jordanian government said that it will allow Nizar to stay in Jordan only 45 days after which he must leave.

It is noted that Ahlam Tamimi and her cousin Nizar Tamimi had been married in prison in 2007 without being able to see each other because of the Zionist Occupation’s measures as he was sentenced to life in prison and she was sentenced to 16 consecutive life terms.

The couple has been released last year under Wafa-Ahrar deal. Ahlam was deported to Jordan while her husband went to his home town of Al-Khalil.
