Thousands of Palestinian citizens marched on Saturday afternoon in the funeral procession of Palestinian martyr Faleh Jaradat in Sa’ir town east of al-Khalil.
The procession moved from outside the martyr’s home where his family and friends bade him a final farewell before performing the funeral prayer at a local Mosque and then laying him to rest at the Shuhada cemetery in the town.
The Israeli occupation authority handed over the body of martyr Jaradat 39 to his relatives at the Jalamah checkpoint in the east of Bethlehem City on Saturday morning after detaining his body for over five months.
An Israeli soldier shot dead Jaradat last January at the Gush Etzion junction in northern al-Khalil following an alleged stabbing attempt.
