Thousands of Palestinians walked in the funeral procession of Mohammad al-Jallad 24 in Tulkarem on Saturday. He was fatally shot by the Israeli occupation forces 100 days ago after allegedly trying to stab one of the soldiers at Hawara checkpoint near Nablus.
The funeral procession started from Thabet Thabet Hospital and headed towards his family home in Tulkarem. He was then laid to rest Quds Press reported.
Meanwhile people who participated in his funeral expressed their anger at the Israeli violations against Palestinians including cold-blooded murder of Palestinian youths.
Israeli occupation authority handed the body of Jallad at Annab checkpoint east of Tulkarem.
For its part the Commission of Detainees and Ex- Detainees said that the preliminary results of medical tests performed on the body of Jallad indicate an explosion in the right lung a hole in the rib cage liver damage with bullet fragments and spine rupture in addition to broken pelvis.
Issa Qaraqe the head of the Commission held the Israeli occupation authority and doctors at Beilinson Hospital responsible for the death of Jallad after refusing to release him despite his critical medical condition.
Qaraqe pointed out that Jallad was transferred from the intensive care unit to the internal medicine department where his situation worsened which ultimately that led to his death.
We have filed a formal complaint regarding the hospital doctors on many issues related to the death of Jallad including hiding his actual death date refusal to hand comprehensive report on his health and the stages of treatment that took place during his stay in the hospital and blocking family visits Qaraqe said.
