Sheikh Ekremah Sabri the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque described the flag march which the Israeli occupation plans as a provocative attempt to destabilize the Palestinian steadfastness.

Sabri said during the Friday sermon (Khutba) at Al-Aqsa Mosque that the march is a failure because Israel claims to have united Jerusalem for the Jews while in fact it has turned it into a military barracks in order to secure a march.

He emphasized that the recent events that occurred in Palestine united the Palestinians from the river to the sea and united Muslims in the whole world.

The preacher called on Jerusalemites to remain steadfast and to defend their homes.

Meanwhile Haaretz newspaper reported that the flag march scheduled for Tuesday will pass on the outskirts of the Islamic Quarter in Jerusalem with the official approval of the police.

It added that the march will start at the Bab Al-Amud then head towards the Bab al-Khalil and Al-Buraq Wall.

Dr. Khalil al-Hayya a member of Hamas political bureau said that his Movement will not stop protecting the Palestinian people and warned the Israeli occupation of persisting in its crimes against them.

Hayya during an interview on Al-Aqsa TV on Thursday evening encouraged the Jerusalemites to defend Jerusalem and revolt against the occupation.

He affirmed that if the flag march takes place the state of tension and the possibility of escalation will persist.
